Brothers Of Craig began life in the late-1980s. It was then that the band recorded their first demos in Yorkshire’s Slaughterhouse Studios with producer Colin Richardson (who then worked with Joy Division, Sisters Of Mercy and The Mission and, in later years, has worked with Napalm Death, Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Cradle Of Filth, Trivium, etc) and also with producer Steve Harris (who has since produced and mixed for the likes of U2, The Automatic and Kaiser Chiefs). Brothers Of Craig’s first single ‘Tossing And Turning’ earned the band a place in the Indie Charts and the opportunity to continue recording with such producers which led to the release of their second single 'The Colour Of Heaven'.
Despite deciding to split after their distribution company fell into administration in the early ‘90s, Brothers Of Craig are now back together with Jon Gerrard (lead vocalist/acoustic), Vinnie (guitar/vocals), Paul Martin (keys), Alan (bass/vocals) and Lawrie Kennedy (drums). They are currently writing, recording, performing and receiving much interest from various music festivals and record companies. You can listen to clips from the band's new EP which is due for release in July 2009 at www.myspace.com/brothersofcraig. The story continues. |
